The Waller Independent School District encourages all students to participate in extra-curricular programs including Athletics or any other number of University Interscholastic League programs. The Waller ISD Athletic Department is proud to be a pertinent element of the district’s mission to serve all students regardless of their ability, environment, or national origin. The Waller ISD students are provided opportunities to develop intellectually, physically, and socially through a quality system of teaching and learning. Through these opportunities, students become responsible and productive members of a constantly changing society and world.
The Waller ISD athletic programs continue to increase as our school enrollment continues to grow. The Waller ISD schools offer a full range of athletic programs to over 5,400 students district-wide, including students that compete in UIL competitive athletic programs at Waller High School, Wayne C. Schultz Junior High, and Waller Junior High. The coaching staff is staffed with outstanding classroom teachers that understand that academics are a priority. Waller ISD has an open communication relationship between coaches, faculty, and students to closely monitor academic progress of students that are involved in UIL competitive sports. Our quality players are expected to work just as hard in the classroom as they do for us in the athletic competitions.
The Waller ISD Athletics Department instills leadership within our athletic student population. Our students learn life lessons by being part of a team that wins with class and integrity.
